A Forest Tail

Finally, a game made specifically for multiplayer RP...

A Forest Tail is setting the bar for RP. While the world can be fully enjoyed solo, the game truly shines when playing in a server. The amount of customization to your character, home, species, playstyle, and even the world you live in allows you to enjoy a completely unique experience. This is an amazing game, but it's MADE for being RP'ed in. 

We're making this because we're tired of trying to "make RP work" in a game using mods to change it into something it isn't. No more!! A Forest Tail is going to be ready for your community right out of the box and when it's fully released, we plan to bring modders in with a full dev kit. This will allow them total access to the games inner workings so we can push the unique experience even further!!

Yes, it's very alpha right now as we focus the MECHANICS and STORY of A Forest Tail first. I'm polishing it here and there with the help of amazing artists, such a LalaLewds, Seliel the Shaper, and music by some incredible musicians who understand what IMMERSION means to a player! So, please be patient, I promise it'll be worth it. I'm the solo coding developer working with great artists, and I'm listening to every piece of feedback that comes in.

  •  Grow legendary crops, raise magical creatures, and shape your homestead to your liking. But choose wisely...each of the four seasons brings its own challenges and opportunities! Till a patch of dirt with a wooden hoe, plant turnips, water them, harvest them, and turn them into tea or a meal at the right station.
• ⛏️ A dwarf yearning for the mines?
  • Brave through dangerous mines to excavate rare minerals and craft powerful gear. Repair minecarts to unlock deeper layers, but the deeper you go, the greater the risk! Will you reach the deepest depths?
• 🦊The ultimate Tamer?
  • Most enemies in the world can be befriended with the right gift, and once tamed, they fight beside you as your trusted familiar. So many to tame, some even evolve! Breed them to make new combinations!
• ⚔️ A Mithril Rank Adventurer?
  • Face formidable enemies and uncover ancient secrets. Weaker foes are fought in real-time, but boss battles shift to a deep turn-based combat system, where strategy reigns supreme! Your familiar, and any friends in your party face the enemy lineup across an arena that lands wherever the encounter started. Together, perhaps you'll reach the highest ranks in the Adventurer's Guild!
• 🔨The Honed Craftsman?
  • Start with the basics and eventually buy entire structures that open into their own interior locations such as shops or other buildings of your choice!
• 🎣 A King of the Hook? 
  • Cast lines in a side-view minigame where the catch depends on the season, the weather, and the time of day.
• ✨The World's Strongest Magician? 
  • Drawing from elemental schools whose spells combine into stronger effects when chained. Practicing magic will level you up faster, but finding an NPC might give you a secret that can really mix up a fight.
• 💟 The wood you chop becomes the table you craft. The crops you grow brew the tea that heals the familiar you tamed who fights beside you in your next battle. There's always a place for you, no matter where you choose to grow! Someone will need your talents!

⏳ An Ever Changing World - A day/night cycle paints the world in three time-of-day washes: dawn, dusk, night! Personal lamps light up automatically when the sun goes down. NPCs roam the world: working their shops in the morning, eating lunch with each other, sleeping at night. Each one has gift preferences, dialogue trees, and quests that surface as you spend time with them. Weather rolls through. Seasons turn. The fish swim different in winter than they do in summer. 

🌍 Change the World – Every decision shapes the world and the relationships within it. Your choices cannot be undone. Will you save this world? Become a villain and reign terror? Or.. Just live a cozy life with a cute dragon familiar?
